Updated Apple MacBook 12″

Today, Apple announced their next-generation 12-inch Retina MacBook with several improvements including a faster processor, an extra hour of battery life, and a new Rose Gold color option.

“MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it’s our vision for the future of the notebook,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “Customers are going to love this update to MacBook, with the latest processors, faster graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life and a beautiful rose gold finish.”

The updated MacBook features sixth-generation dual-core Intel Core M processors up to 1.3 GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, and faster 1866 MHz memory. New Intel HD Graphics 515 deliver up to 25 percent faster graphics performance, and faster PCIe-based flash storage.

The new MacBook is available through starting today, and in Apple’s retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers starting tomorrow.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Were you disappointed by the news that Star Wars: Episode VIII will be delayed? Well, you can still take a trip to a galaxy far, far, away this December with the release of Rouge One – the first of several “standalone” Star Wars films.

“‘Rogue One’ takes place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope and will be a departure from the saga films but have elements that are familiar to the Star Wars universe,” says Kathleen Kennedy. The movie is set before the events of A New Hope and follows a group of Rebels as they set out on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star.

The movie stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Mads Mikkelsen, Jiang Wen, and Forrest Whittaker.

iPad Pro

If the original iPad Pro was too big and unwieldy for you, the new 9.7″ version may be just right. At just under one pound it features a new pro Retina display with greater brightness, wider colors, lower reflectivity, Night Shift mode to help you sleep better, and it introduces new True Tone display technology to dynamically adjust white balance.

The screen is amazing and the Apple Pencil is a natural drawing tool. After a few minutes we became very comfortable drawing and sketching with the Pencil as it moved across the screen smoothly.

It’s incredibly fast, extremely portable, and completely natural to use with your fingers, Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard. The entry-level $599 iPad Pro 9.7″ comes with 32GB of storage, it’s also available with 128GB of storage for $749 or a 256GB model for $849.

Playstation Vue

PlayStation Vue, the cloud-based TV service from Sony is now available nationwide. If you are a cord-cutter, or considering it, Vue is one of the best choices available. In major markets the big four networks are even available.

With the expansion, Vue becomes the first pay-TV service to be available nationwide that offers more than 100 top live sports, movie, and TV channels, with unique features such as simultaneous streaming and a cloud-based DVR.

“PlayStation Vue has been an ambitious project from the start, and national expansion demonstrates our ability to innovate in an industry that’s overdue for a reinvented experience,” said Eric Lempel, senior vice president of marketing and head of PlayStation Network Americas at Sony Network Entertainment International. Sony said it is “working to add live local broadcast stations across all networks to each of the new TV markets.”
